What Is Crylomorph

Crylomorph as a concept is my personal journey through self discovery, whether that be artistically, in my gender, or in my understanding of the world around me. Through Crylomorph, I aim to challenge traditional notions of identity and push the boundaries of what it means to be human. By embracing the machine-like qualities within ourselves, I aim to transcend societal limitations and explore new possibilities for self-expression and connection. 

I started the project back in early 2021, when I took a photo of myself with a silicon demon mask that I had turned inside out on top of my head. I edited the photo, drawing inspiration from artists such as Salvia and Fecal Matter, to produce the very first Crylomorph image. This inverted mask became my signature look and symbolised my journey of merging human and artificial identities. As I continued to experiment with different editing techniques, Crylomorph evolved into a visual representation of the fluidity and transformation that can occur when we embrace our true selves. Through this project, I hope to inspire others to challenge societal norms and embrace their own unique forms of self-expression.
